Bedtime Surprise

Often Cynthia will sleepwalk into our room in the middle of the night, climb up into our bed and use her 42lbs body to full take over the bed.  Tonight was a little different, she wondered a little earlier then usual and when I went to bed she was laying in a ball on top of bed, on top of all the covers... she was soooo cute.

This will be one of those pictures that she will hate in a few years :)

Yes, I crochet a little.

It's been a really long time since I sat down and crocheted something other then a boring and incredibly repetitive blanket.

Lately I have seen lost of great crochet hats and headbands with big flowers on them, I loved them so much I headed to etsy to buy one... then I thought, maybe I should try and make one myself.

Step 1:  Find just the right colours for Cynthia.
Step 2:  Actually sit down and make it.
Step 3:  Show off the finish product.

Here is it:
I managed to make the hat on my own (without a pattern) but the flower completely stumped me, I had to find a pattern for it.  I am pretty please with the way it turned out, especially for my first try.

Cynthia is feeling a bit under the weather today and wasn't really in the mood to pose with the hat, but I still think she looks beautiful.

Bravo Cynthia, tu as lu 100 livres!

It is with great pride that I write this post.  On Thursday night Cynthia read her 100th French book and Friday at school she was presented with a certificate from her teacher for reaching this milestone.  She loves going to school in French as well as reading.   She was very proud to show off her certificate.

Today she is at 102 books read :)

Happy Birthday Uncle Bobb

It's really hard when all of your family lives so far away.  Today is Cynthia's Great Uncle Bobb's birthday and we sure are thinking of him.  We wish that we lived closer so we could give him a big hug and he could share his cake with us.   We love you Uncle Bobb.

Back to Blogging

As some of you might know, I kept a blog about Cynthia for years - then life caught up with me for a while and I stopped.  Over the weekend I decided I was going to get back into it and when I went to log into my existing blog it had been deleted, gosh this was devastating for me.  I was frustrated and sad about the loss of the blog, but now view it as an opportunity to start from scratch.  Todd, Cynthia and I brainstormed last night to come up with the name - and Chronicles of Cynthia was born.
